Exceptionally Large Drum Head Dial Clock

An exceptionally large English Fusee drum head dial clock with a painted 17” dial and marked with the Royal Cypher for Edward VII. The clock pre dates this and was made circa 1860.

The clock has evidence of being in the main hall at the Foreign Office. It has a mahogany veneered case with 3 locked doors and an access door to the rear.

It has a cast brass, key locked, glazed bezel and an 8 day line fusee movement with shaped plates and knopped pillars. The hands are of the blued steel, the minute hand being counter-poised. Quite a rare clock!
